Air transportation of the high-value cargo

It often happens that AsstrA makes the transportation of the oversized cargoes priced at hundred thousands and millions of Euro. This time the company specialists were organizing the delivery of cargo which value can be compared with two-three building cranes, and which size and weight is smaller than the traveling bag.
 
High-value cargo convoy and customs clearance to “Borispol” airport during customs inspection at the terminal and delivery to the aircraft board differed from the regular cargo procedures – higher level of control and high-speed passing through all the necessary custom formalities.
 
Let’s go into details.
 

Route:

Transportation was organized from Eastern region of Ukraine to Frankfurt on the Main (Germany) and back.
 

Cargo:

In one direction it was precious metal scrap, back - manufactured article made from this metal. The value of the small box with dimensions of 10*15*15 cm and weighing 6 kg in one direction was 500 thousand Euro. The value of the three smaller boxes to the reverse direction weighing 8 kg was about 1 million Euro.
 

The specialists of AsstrA Groupage cargo division offered the complex service to the customer.

  1. Cargo delivery to “Borispol” airport and back with armed police convoy and under the customs control.
  2. In “Borispol” the cargo transfer to the airport security service was organized with re-loading to the armored vehicle.
  3. During the cargo transference and handling in “Borispol” it was convoyed by the representatives of the parties participating in the transportation: AsstrA company and airport services employees, representative of the air company. Totally 20 persons directly participated in the transportation in one direction. AsstrA employees coordinated the activity of all the participants.
  4. It took 2,5 hours to make all the necessary formalities about the cargo at the airport. The same day the cargo arrived to Frankfurt. 6 hours passed from the moment of truck arrival to “Borispol” airport to the moment of cargo delivery to Frankfurt airport.
  5.  While delivering from Germany to Ukraine all the actions repeated in the reverse order. Inspection of the documents was added before the cargo shipment together with cash collection agency of Frankfurt airport, cargo consignee and transportation ordering customer.
